A man in his 30's has died following a work related accident in County Fermanagh.

It's understood he was working with a digger when he suffered traumatic injuries on Friday.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Ederny but the man couldn't be saved.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "NIAS recieved a call at 10.39 this morning following reports of a male with traumatic injuries near Market Street, Ederney.

"Two A&E Crews were dispatched to the incident.

"The charity Air Ambulance was also tasked to the scene, however no one was taken from the location."

The Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland is investigating the circumstances.
