A 26 year old man has been arrested in connection with reports of vehicle hijackings in south Belfast.
The first incident occurred outside a shop in the Ormeau Road area at around 5.50am.
The driver of a lorry parked outside was approached by a man armed with a knife who demanded he hand over a sum of money.
The suspect then entered the lorry and made the driver drive towards the Donegal Square South area.
When the lorry stopped, both the driver and the assailant left the vehicle following the incident.
Mobile phones and cash were also stolen during this incident.

Shortly after 6am, a deliver driver parked on Callender Street was approached and threatened by a man armed with a knife.
The suspect then entered another lorry in the area and threatened the occupants with an iron bar before making off from the scene empty-handed.
Then shortly before 6.10am, police received a report that a man was approached by a man armed with a knife in the Fountain Street area.
It is believed the attacker made off with a sum of cash following the incident.
Detectives say they are also investigating two reports of aggravated burglaries in the University Avenue area in the early hours of this morning, in which a knife and bicycle was stolen from a house.
Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said, “Enquiries are continuing but at this stage, police are investigating a link between these incidents.
“A man was later arrested at the Milford Street area of the city on suspicion of various related offences. He is currently in police custody at this time.
