There's still time for local people to apply for community roles within the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
It's recruiting for Community (Part-Time) Firefighters in 28 stations here.
NIFRS is looking to hire people who can respond to the following stations within 5 minutes of being alerted by pager:
- Portstewart, Antrim, Carrickfergus, Lisburn, Larne, Crumlin
- Portadown, Warrenpoint, Ballynahinch, Newcastle, Lurgan
- Crossmaglen, Donaghadee, Dromore, Newtownards, Kilkeel
- Ballywalter, Banbridge, Holywood, Enniskillen, Maghera, Belleek
- Castlederg, Dromore, Lisnaskea, Newtownstewart, Cookstown and Clogher
NIFRS, Group Commander, Brian Stanfield told Q Radio, they "simply couldn't operate" without Community Fire Fighters:
Information nights are being held this week at each of the 28 fire stations for applicants interested.
It'll give them the chance to speak to other fire fighters and find out more about the role.
There's more details on the information sessions and how to apply at the NIFRS website: www.nifrs.org/careers
According to the NIFRS, it's "currently under represented by females" and they're particularly for more of these applications.
The closing date to apply is Friday 10th August at 3pm.
