A house in Lisburn has been left extensively damaged after an arson attack.

The PSNI were called to the un-occupied property around Iniscarn Close last night.

Police say they've had no reports of any injuries and no-one has been arrested.

Detective Constable O'Neill said: "The fire at the unoccupied house was reported to us at approximately 10:40pm last night, Saturday 14 July.

"Police attended, along with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended who extinguished the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries, however, extensive damage was caused to the property.

"We are treating this as arson at this time, and our enquiries are continuing.

"I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time last night and saw any suspicious activity, or anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact detectives on Lisburn on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1515 of 14/07/18.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
