The funeral will take place today of one of Northern Ireland's so called "Disappeared".

Seamus Ruddy was abducted from Paris before being murdered and secretly buried by the INLA in 1985.

The 32-year-old teacher is one of 16 people who were killed and secretly buried by Republicans during the troubles.

His remains were discovered in northern France last month and returned to the family this week.

New information came to light through the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims Remains which led to the latest breakthrough.

Now 32 years after his death, Seamus Ruddy will finally be laid to rest this afternoon.

A funeral service will take place at St. Catherine's Church in Newry at 1 o'clock.
