COVID19: One more death and 14 new cases in Northern Ireland

One more person with coronavirus has died in Northern Ireland, taking the total recorded by the Department of Health - a toll primarily accounting for hospital deaths - to 537.

There have been another 14 confirmed cases of the virus, bringing the total since the outbreak began to 4,790.

Meanwhile another 203 people have died in other parts of the UK, according to the the latest Department of Health figures.

The data came alongside an indication that hospital deaths in England are down.

Public Health England (PHE) said that 75 more people had died in hospital, the lowest number since May 25, and the second lowest since March 25, just after lockdown began.

Another nine people have been confirmed dead in the Republic of Ireland bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,678. 

A further 24 cases have been confirmed there.
