Twenty Seven Metres of art illustrating the history of Belfast's Botanic Gardens has been unveiled.

The display surrounding the tropical ravine shows some of the Gardens most memorable moments since it's opening in 1828.

The face lift is part of a 3.8million pound restoration.

Over 400 people helped contribute to the memories, stories and creative writing projects on the art .

It stretches from the Great Lawn to the Ulster museum.

To celebrate the new installation a free 'explorer hunt' has been organised to take place at Palm House on Saturday afternoon.
