A goalless draw at home to Wales last night meant the Republic of Ireland are on track for World Cup qualification, but it came at a cost.

Captain and Everton defender Seamus Coleman was tackled by Neil Taylor, and broke his leg.

The Welshman was sent off for the challenge.

Republic boss Martin O'Neill told Sky Sports News, it's devastating news.

O'Neill's men are second in Group D.
