The County Down athlete retains her title from London 2012
At the Rio Paralympics,
It was a world record time for County Down's Bethany Firth as she secured a gold medal in the S14 100-metre backstroke.
The 20-year-old had a time of one minute four point zero five seconds.
Firth won the title in London 2012.
Jason Smyth meanwhile is in the final of the S13 100-metres after winning yesterday's heat in ten point seven six seconds.
The County Londonderry athlete won gold in the category in Beijing and in London.
He says he feels good, but is building ahead of today's final at 3pm our time.
