Dungannon beat Glens to go second

In the Danske Bank Premiership on Saturday - 

Defending champions Linfield crashed to a 4-2 defeat against Coleraine at Windsor Park. 

Ben Doherty scored for the visitors after only 14 seconds and Emmet McGuckin struck on his debut.

Blues defender Ryan McGivern was sent off 12 minutes from time. 

Larne’s 100 per cent record was shattered by Ballymena who scored a 4-2 victory at Inver Park.

Sky Blues defender Johnny Addis broke the deadlock with a stunning strike from inside his own half - 23 years to the day since David Beckham's famous long-range goal against Wimbledon for Man United. 

Crusaders had a 2-0 win at Cliftonville and go top. 

Glentoran lost 3-1 away to Dungannon Swifts, now sitting in second spot. 

Glenavon beat struggling Warrenpoint 2-0 at Mourneview Park.

Carrick also won 2-0 - against Institute at the Brandywell. 

Both sides were reduced to 10 men with Carrick’s Abby Sanusi dismissed within 30 seconds of coming on as a sub.

Stute's Aaron Jarvis got his marching orders for a couple of bad challenges. 

 

 

Holders Glentoran Women and Linfield Ladies will meet again in the Electric Ireland Irish Cup final on September 21st.

The Glens had a 4-0 win over Comber Rec at Seaview in Saturday night's semi-finals.

Rachel Rogan, Joely Andrews, Jessie Davis and Kelly Bailie got their names on the scoresheet. 

Their Big Two rivals beat Crusaders Strikers 3-0 in Bangor.

The McGuinness sisters grabbed all the goals for the Blues, with two for Kirsty and one for Caitlin.
