Women's Aid in Omagh has faced cuts to their refuge budget in the same week that figures showed that reports of domestic violence had increased in Fermanagh and Tyrone.

These figures show that the groups services are needed now more than ever, however they've still been hit with a 6.5% reduction.

The refuge budget allows Women's Aid to provide accommodation and support to 6 families at a time.

Orla Conway the team leader for the group says the cuts are due to the situation in Stormont:

This week the management will be meeting to discuss how they will move forward with as little impact as possible.
