West Belfast MLA, Pat Sheehan says he won't be deterred from his work.

It's after he says the PSNI has warned criminals have made a threat against him.

The Sinn Fein politician says it won't stop him and his party representing that part of the city.

He said: "The PSNI called to my home tonight to tell me they had information that there is a threat against me.

"They said it emanated from criminal elements who may be planning to take some kind of action against me.

"Whoever this threat stems from, it will not deter me or my party from representing the people of West Belfast.

"The people behind these kind of faceless threats have nothing to offer this community.

"They will certainly not prevent me from continuing to stand up for the rights and entitlements of all the people of West Belfast as I have been l elected to do."
