The Western Trust accepts keys to new £110 million Omagh Hospital

Last week, The Western Trust accepted they keys to the new £110 million Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex. 

Construction was completed by McLaughlin and Harvey, who now formally handed the building over to the Trust. 

The Trust's Director of Strategic Capital Development, Alan Moore said "This is a major milestone for health care provision in the Western Trust and in particular for the Omagh community and I am proud to accept the keys to this state of the art hospital and primary care complex. 

I would like to pay tribute to everyone who has been involved in the planning and construction of this magnificent hospital who have worked hard to ensure that it has been built to the highest standards."

Professor Ronan O'Hare, Assistant Director of Acute Services said "The new hospital will provide a wide range of hospital services in line with the comprehensive services currently provided at the Tyrone County Hospital. 

We are planning for the safe and smooth transfer of patients and staff from the Tyrone County Hospital to the new hospital 20 June 2017 and would like to thank the public for their continued support and co-operation."
