A report published this morning says drugs-related litter in Belfast is rising to alarming levels and suggests drug consumption rooms are a viable solution.

It follows recent claims of needles and syringes being discarded in the city centre.

Drugs policy think tank Volteface is proposing professionally supervised facilities where people can take drugs in safer conditions.

But North Belfast man William Burns, whose 23-year-old son Jamie died after taking an ecstasy tablet last year, has his doubts.
