Her body was discovered at a property on Damolly Meadows yesterday.

The family of the deceased have released a statement calling for end to speculation.

“We, the family of Martina would like people to know that we have been informed that Martina died from natural causes and that suspicious circumstances have now been ruled out," it read.

"We would appreciate if speculation and rumour would now cease .

"We as her family are devastated, and would ask that people respect our families privacy at this very difficult time to allow us to come to terms with the loss of our beautiful Martina”

It was issued by councillor Valerie Harte on behalf of the Larkin family.

The local representative said her thoughts and prayers are with Martina’s sons James and Thomas, her mother Vera, sister Deborah, her grandchildren, nephews and the rest of her extended family.
