Detectives are appealing for information following a number of burglaries which occurred in Belfast between Saturday 3rd October and Sunday 4th October
Detective Sergeant Nugent said: “Sometime between 6pm and just before 8pm on Saturday, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the Stewartstown Avenue area of west Belfast. Damage was caused to the front door and a quantity of jewellery was taken during the incident and no one was inside the property. Between 6:10pm and 9pm on Saturday, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the Hillhead Crescent area of west Belfast. It is believed that a sum of money, a ring and a drill were taken during the incident, with damage to a rear window of the property also reported to police .
“Just after 9:20pm on Saturday 3rd October, it was reported that a car parked at the Porter Park area of Finaghy. It was reported that three men exited the car and gained entry to a house in the area. It is believed that a sum of money was taken and a number of rooms were ransacked during the incident. Shortly before 00:50am on Sunday, it was reported to police that entry was gained to a flat at the Stewartstown Road area of west Belfast. Damage was caused to the front door of the property, with a number of items included watches and clothing were taken during the incident.
“Enquiries are continuing and police are investigating a potential link between these incidents.
