There's been reports of an attempted abduction in Omagh this week.

A ten year old boy was approached and chased by a man on Tuesday, close to the Lammy Crescent area around 3.50pm.

This is the third complaint of a suspicious approach to young people in West Tyrone.

There were reports in Drumquin and Ballygawley not so long ago.

Kathy O'Hara the mother of the boy who was approached took to facebook to share her shock and warn other parents.

Police are reminding parents to keep an eye on their children, especially with the school holidays coming closer.

They also suggest that it may be good to talk to your child and discuss what to do if they are approached.
