Omagh wreath laying ceremony to go ahead after security alert

A wreath laying ceremony in Omagh will go ahead this morning after being postponed because of a security alert.

The Royal British Legion says they expect a bigger turnout than normal because of the circumstances.

In a break with tradition all Presidents and Chairs of the orgainisation have been asked to wear their chain of office as a mark of solidarity.

UUP Councillor Chris Smyth has told Q Radio the parade will get under way at 10am from Drumragh Avenue the scene of last Sunday's alert.
