The Meadows project in Fermanagh called "Save our Magnificent Meadows" is in full swing and continuing to grow.

It's a campaign that aims to protect rare and different wildlife.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has teamed up with Ulster Wildlife, and both have agreed not to cut the verges during the summer months.

They've placed signs across the county stating this, as it allows wild flowers to flourish and thus providing a boost to the local ecosystem.

Millions of motorists are expected to pass the verges this year, therefore becoming aware of the signs.

Ulster Wildlife's Giles Knight says the project was about raising awareness of what we have "under our noses".

Fermanagh is fortunate to have an array of wild flowers, unlike other areas in the UK and Ireland that have lost meadows due to modern developments and farming practices.
