A man has needed stitches in hospital after he was stabbed in the back in Ballymena.
Police say they were called around 4am this morning after it happened somewhere between Larne Road and Queen Street.
No-one has been arrested.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Police would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of either the Larne Road or Queen Street this morning and witnessed this incident or anyone who has information that could assist police with their enquiries to contact police at Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 346 02/09/18.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
