Local woman finds success with ASPIRE employability programme

The ASPIRE programme provides support and help for local people who are unemployed or work less than 16 hours.

They provide new skills and opportunities that give them the chance to get back into the job sector or change a career path.

Q Radio spoke to local woman Eimear Grugan who's now an estates officer with Southwest College.

She says that ASPIRE helped her when she wanted a change in her career path.

ASPIRE is the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Employability Programme that works across the district with anyone aged 16 and over who is unemployed or economically inactive and seeking employment.

They are part funded by the European Social Fund and the Department for the Economy so the service, training and qualifications they provide is free to all participants.

ASPIRE is based in both Omagh and Enniskillen.
