Derry and Strabane Council are calling on groups in the city and district to apply to their 'Cultural Grant Aid programmes' including festivals, heritage animation, cultural venues and access support.

The aim of the funding is to promote Culture and Arts across the Derry and Strabane district, therefore encouraging groups to take advantage of this money and use it for this purpose.

The different types of grants and information about them can be found on the Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) grant aid website:

https://www.dcsdgrantaid.com/

Each grant is different in terms of how much money can be given and to what criteria groups have to be eligible.

All of the funding schemes share the criteria that groups applying must be legally constituted and have an operational programme(s) in the DCSDC area.

Applications are now open for 'Grant Aid' from the:

  • Cultural Venues Fund 2018/19

  • Headline Events (formerly Tier 2 Festivals) Fund 2018/19

  • Community Festivals Fund 2018/19

  • Access Programme for Cultural Venues 2017/18

  • Heritage Animation and Visitor Servicing Programme 2017/18 and 2018/19.

There is a competitive scheme and applications will be determined on the basis of merit.
