The Justice Minister Naomi Long says she is self isolating after developing a persistent cough.

In a tweet, the Alliance Party leader said she had developed a 'tickly cough' on Friday but with her symptoms now feel like a cold meaning she would be "self isolating and getting a test booked to be sure."

Ms Long, who is also an East Belfast MLA, said, "Hopefully, with a clear test and 10 days isolation, we'll be able to get it back on track next week. still, very frustrating but has to be done."

The Minister also said she was a "bit gutted" as she had been planning to appear in the Stormont chamber tomorrow after part of the Domestic Abuse and Family Proceedings Bill.

She is one of a number of Executive ministers to be forced to quarantine in recent weeks with Robin Swann, MIchelle O'Neill, Carál Ní Chuilín and Conor Murphy all spending periods in self-isolation.

A number of MLAs also went into self isolation, with another, John Stewart testing positive for COVID-19 last month.
