A video which appears to feature Shankill bomber Sean Kelly has been referred to police for investigation by justice minister Naomi Long.

The social media footage from the weekend seems to show Kelly being restrained during a confrontation at a Belfast shopping centre.

He was convicted of a 1993 IRA attack which killed nine civilians on the Shankill Road, but was released under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement.

Shankill families are calling for the Secretary of State to revoke Kelly's licence and return him to prison.

Victims' campaigner Kenny Donaldson says they have been concerned about a number of incidents:

Mr. Donaldson believes the government will have to intervene:

A PSNI spokesperson said it was "aware of a video posted on a social media platform on Saturday May 2. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced. Enquiries are continuing."
