A north Antrim MP says he'll refer himself to the Parliamentary commissioner for standards over allegations made in a newspaper on Friday morning.

Ian Paisley rejects claims he did not declare £100,000 in hospitality from a foreign government.

Reports this morning allege the DUP politician and his family had several all-expenses-paid holidays in 2013.

The MP says the report is "devoid of fact or logic" and described it as "defamatory" on Twitter.

Mr.Paisley has also referred the matter to his lawyer.

A DUP spokesman said the MP has referred himself to a watchdog and the party await the outcome of the investigation.
