Firefighters are dealing with a blaze in the Belfast Harbour estate area.

Six fire engines are currently battling the flames at Clearway Disposals, East Twin Road, supported by five specialist engines.

Crews arrived at the scene of the fire shortly after 1pm today.

Thick black smoke can currently be seen coming from the site, which is understood to be a scrap metal recycling plant.

A spokeswoman from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said a westerly wind is expected to continue for the next four or five hours.

They are advising people to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution.
