Today is the last chance for people living in the Western Trust area to have their say on 'reshaping stroke services' there.

For the past 13 weeks, the Health and Social Care Board has been holding pre-consultation public meetings across the 5 Trust areas in Northern Ireland.

People living in Fermanagh and Tyrone have been fighting for the stroke unit at South West Acute Hospital to remain since the start of the meetings.

It's launched a campaign by Fermanagh Stroke Support Group 'Save Our Stroke Services':

According to Louise Hardman, spokesperson for Fermanagh Stroke Support Group the response they have received in support of the services has been overwhelming.

"We were so so delighted at the response, I mean, in our best dreams we thought well 400 people would turn up.

"There were over 600 people there and they wouldn't allow people in they had to turn them away. That was overwhelming."

For anyone living in the Western Trust area who has not had their say and wants to, you have until 5pm today.

To respond you can email: reshapingstroke@hscni.net
