The DUP staged a mass walkout at a Derry City and Strabane District Council meeting last night.
It's after Independent Councillor Gary Donnelly called on council to oppose US President Donald Trump's decision to declare Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Seven DUP councillors left the chamber in protest.
Speaking to Q Radio News, DUP councillor Drew Thompson said the motion was nonsense.
Hitting back at criticism, Councillor Donnelly said it was important to oppose injustice.
