Two men from Co.Donegal have appeared in court in Australia charged with murder.

24-year-old Christopher McLaughlin, and Nathan Kelly , 21, appeared in court via video-link from separate prisons.

They're charged with the murder of 66-year-old Paul Tavelardis.

He was found in Sydney with serious injuries on December 29th, but passed away in Hospital on Monday.

It's understood both men had only recently traveled to the country, from their native homes in the Malin and Glengad areas of Donegal.

The pair had previously been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

The defendants were refused bail and will appear again in March.
