One of Fermanagh's most popular tourist attractions has re-opened once again.

Cuilcagh Mountain Boardwalk faced closure on Monday, following a heather fire that was burning on the mountain since Saturday.

A spokesperson for Fermanagh and Omagh District Council said "The fire has been extinguished due to the efforts of NIFRS West and Geopark staff.

However there continues to be a high fire risk in this area as this dry spell continues and visitors are reminded that BBQ's and lit cigarettes are not permitted on the walk."

Visitors are asked to be extra vigilant and report any signs of smoke or fire.

They can contact 02886634885.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council have also thanked the staff of NI Fire and Rescue Service West for their efforts over the past number of days.
