Council launches details of Enterprise week 2017

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council (FODC) has launched details of this year's Enterprise Week which will be running from Monday 6th - Friday 10th November. 

Enterprise Week, which is organised by FODC and supported by Omagh Enterprise Company Limited, is designed to support members of the local business community. 

It encourages them to network, explore opportunities and avail of advice from industry experts on how to develop their business. 

The week's programme includes business events, workshops, seminars and networking opportunities; targeting all business sectors. 

This includes anyone considering starting a business, new start ups, established SME's as well as any individual with an interest in business. 

Go Digital workshops will explore how engaging with digital platforms can create new opportunities to enhance business. 

The event will encompass a wide range of e-marketing tools with interactive sessions delivered by industry experts who have a wealth of experience across the sector. 

Speaking at the launch of the programme, Chairman of FODC, Councillor Stephen McCann said: 

"As a Council we are committed to actively supporting local businesses and I have no doubt Enterprise Week will help address many of the issues our SMEs face on a daily basis. 

"Through assistance like this and other forms of support available from the Council, we look forward to seeing the continued growth and expansion of our local businesses over the coming years."

During the week, Belleek Pottery and Terex Finlay will host events, opening their facilities to members of the local business community providing a rare insight into how they have achieved success in their respective markets. 

Fermanagh Enterprise Ltd and Omagh Enterprise Centre will also host open days to showcase the range of business advice and guidance services available for local businesses.
