A number of people were treated for smoke inhalation after a gorse fire in Ballynahinch in County Down yesterday.

Meanwhile, Belfast residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed due to a grassland fire in the nature reserve on the Harbour Estate.

Plumes of smoke were visible across the city as 40 firefighters battled to bring the blaze under control.

Since Friday morning, the Fire and Rescue Service has dealt with 134 grass and wildfires.
