On Monday 26th June, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (CF Trust) is holding a day of action for "wonder drug" Orkambi.

There will be four protests taking place on the day and they're based in; Holyrood, Stormont, the Welsh Assembly and Downing Street.

Castlederg man Liam McHugh is responsible for spearheading the protest at Stormont.

He'll be joined by other members of the CF Trust and their supporters.

They're aiming to highlight the need for the government, the NHS and Massachuesetts based pharmaceutical company Vertex, to reach an agreement on the drug as it could potentially save the lives of those suffering with Cystic Fibrosis here in Northern Ireland.

The protest will commence at 1pm and run until 4pm across the four locations in the UK.

Q Radio spoke to Liam and he expressed the need for Orkambi and how it can help those with Cystic Fibrosis.

He also mentioned details of the protest and the support he's received from local MLA's and Councillors.
