More than £8,000 in cash has been seized by police investigating suspected drugs criminality linked to the east Belfast UVF.
Detectives from Paramilitary Crime Task Force raided a number of properties in the city earlier today.
The operation followed tip-offs from local residents.
Detective Inspector Maguire said it’s the latest step in a proactive investigation.
“The searches today were as a result of support received from the community,” he added.
“We will listen to the community and act on information they provide, so I would encourage members of the public with information regarding drug dealing to call 101.”
