At this months council meeting, a proposal was made for free school buses in Enniskillen to ease traffic congestion.
Councillor Alex Baird stated that the town is "gridlock" in the morning and afternoon when children are being transported to and from school.
During the school holidays, the traffic flows more freely and there is less build up of traffic.
At the moment, the legislation states that free school buses are only available for children who live more than 2 miles from a primary school or 3 miles from secondary school.
Councillor Thomas O'Reilly went further in suggesting to change the legislation.
He stated that it's "absolutely scandalous" that children have to walk on country roads where there are no footpaths.
Concern was also raised in regards to the upcoming tourist season and the traffic that will add to the congestion that already exists.
As a result, the council agreed to review the 2 mile legislation and also write to Transport NI in regards to the towns traffic issues.
