Fermanagh and Omagh District Council are warning local people of bogus callers.
That's after a number of local residents were contacted suspiciously by individuals claiming to be from the local body.
The Council say they've been made aware of a number of suspicious calls made to local people.
And - that in the event of such a call - residents should not to disclose any personal information whatsoever.
Instead they're being urged to contact the PSNI, if in any doubt.
"Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has been made aware of suspicious calls being made to residents by individuals claiming to be from the Council, requesting personal information," the council confirmed in a statement.
"In the event that residents receive a similar call, the Council advises not to disclose any personal information if there is any doubt as to whether the call is genuine and to report any such calls to the Police Service of Northern Ireland," the statement continued.
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council have also pointed out that there's an ongoing survey of local people being undertaken in the area.
"A company called NEMS Market Research is undertaking a legitimate Residents Survey on behalf of the Council for which the information gathered will be used to inform the retail strategy for the Fermanagh and Omagh Local Development Plan," it went on.
And that researchers will clearly identify themselves - and won't ask for personal details during calls.
"Researchers from NEMS will clearly identify who they are and the purpose of the call and will not ask for any personal details," it concluded.
