St,Mary's Magherafelt played St.Peter's from Wexford yesterday, in the semi-final of the Hogan Cup.

They suffered a one point loss with the game ending on a score of 2-10 to 2-9.

Manager and P.E. teacher, Kevin Brady said it was a great achievement to get as far as the semi-final but they were disappointed with the result.

Only, last week St.Mary's won the MacCrory Cup Final for the first time.

Mr Brady said the semi- final came very quick after the MacCrory cup and didn't give them much time to prepare for their opponents.

If they had more time, he reckons they could have came away with the win.

Despite losing by only a point, the Magherafelt manager said St.Peter's were deserving of the victory and to progress to the Hogan Cup final.
