Newry City’s run of poor results continued on Saturday with a defeat away to local rivals Banbridge Town.

They lost the lead to opposition, who had earlier been reduced to ten men.

The scoreline finished 2--1 to the Town, making it the fourth defeat on the trot for City.

Newry now turn their attention to the next league match away to Limavady on the 30th of December.

It a chance for the side to close the gap on league leaders Donegal Celtic, who sit 7 points ahead.
