Covid-19 took its toll on sport scheduled for Boxing Day.
Ulster's United Rugby Championship clash with Connacht was postponed due to Covid cases in the Kingspan camp.
Also called off was the one-day cricket international in Florida - the United States against Ireland cancelled because of a positive Covid case in the umpiring team.
Some sport did go ahead on Sunday, including a 5-1 home win for the Belfast Giants against Glasgow Clan.
Festive football had kicked off with the traditional Christmas Day Steel and Sons Cup final at Seaview where Newington beat Linfield Swifts 1-0.
Two Danske Bank Premiership fixtures scheduled for Monday have been postponed.
Cliftonville's north Belfast derby with Crusaders and Warrenpoint against Dungannon are off amid Covid concerns.
The others go ahead including a top of the table clash between Linfield and Glentoran at Windsor Park.
The Big Two go into the game neck-and-neck, with just goal difference separating them at the summit after a mid-week win for the Glens on the North Coast:
.@OfficialBlues top of the tree for Christmas - but only on goal difference, 3 better off than @Glentoran after they made it 8 wins on the bounce with victory @ColeraineFC
