A woman's been treated for shock following a suspected petrol bomb attack in Ballymoney.
A house at Carnany Drive had a pillowcase covered in petrol was left at its front door and set alight just before 10pm last night.
Inspector Mullan said:
''A report was received at approximately 9.30pm of a fire at a house in the Carnany Drive area of the town.
“Officers attended together with colleagues from NIFRS.
“A pillowcase had been doused in accelerant and left outside the property.
“Fortunately, the fire burnt itself out, resulting in scorch damage only to the front door. A male and a female were inside the house at the time of the incident, but there were no reports of any injuries.''
Police are appealing to anyone who has any information about what happened, or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time, to call 101 and quote reference number 1862 of 09/02/22.
