Western Trust launch Recovery College to promote positive mental health

The Western Trust has launched a series of workshops aimed at promoting mental health well-being and recovery. 

The Recovery College courses are written and delivered by people with lived experience of mental health issues.

They work alongside healthcare professionals to help people recognise and develop their own personal resourcefulness and resilience, become experts in their own self-care and work towards achieving their goals and ambitions.  

Workshops offered this term include: Living beyond Depression and Low Mood; Living Well with Bipolar; Caring for Someone with Psychosis; Spirituality and Mental Well-being; Understanding Medication; Understanding Obsessive Compulsive Disorder; Creative Recovery and Wellness Recovery Action Plan.

Courses are open to all and are free of charge, however, registration is essential.  

Anyone who would like to register or find out more information is invited to come along to one of the following enrolment sessions;

Omagh Library Headquarters, Tuesday 21 February at 10:30am-12:30pm

Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre, Limavady, Tuesday 21 at February 10:30am-12:30pm

Fermanagh House, Enniskillen, Wednesday 22 February at 10:30am-12:30pm

Central Library, L’Derry Thursday 23 February at 10:30am-12:30pm

Melvin Sports Complex, Strabane, Thursday 23 February at 11am-1.00pm
