Ireland's only human milk bank is based in Irvinestown and it provides 900 babies a year with milk.
Despite heavy donor recruitment, they are facing an exceptional shortage of milk at the minute.
They are appealing for mothers that may be able to help them by providing milk; particularly for a premature baby where their stocks are the lowest.
Any mothers with a large quantity that may be frozen or mothers with babies under 3 months who think they could provide at least 3 litres of milk are needed.
