A war memorial has been damaged in an overnight attack in the Lilian Bland Park area of Glengormley.

It's believed a petrol bomb was used to destroy wreaths and crosses on the cenotaph.

This is the second time the memorial has been damaged in the past month.

Police have attended the scene and local neighbourhood officers will be in the area making further enquiries today.

Anyone with information about this incident, which is being treated as a hate crime, is asked to ring 101 and quote reference 497 of April 2nd.

A report can also be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport
