The US Presidential Candidate Hilary Clinton has sent a message of encouragement to Northern Ireland.
A dinner was held in Belfast last night marking 21 years of friendship between the Clinton family and the people here.
She accompanied her Husband, Bill Clinton, on several trips throughout the troubles to support the peace process.
Former UUP leader Lord Trimble and Founding member of the SDLP John Hume were among those in attendance.
Senior advisor to her Democratic Campaign, and former Envoy to Northern Ireland, Jim Lyons flew to Northern Ireland to attend the event.
He says Hillary will continue to support the region and would consider a visit if she won the US Presidency.
In a specially recorded video message Hillary failed to mention her campaign for the Oval office.
Say reflected on the "close relationship" and "special memories" she has of the peopl in Northern Ireland.
The organiser of the event at the Europa Hotel was local woman Caroline McNeill.
The barrister is a former intern for Hillary Clinton when she was a US Senator.
