Three people escape injury after petrol bomb thrown at house in Armagh

Three people have escaped injury after a petrol bomb was thrown through the window of house in Armagh.

Two men and a woman were in the property on Callan Bridge Park when the attack happened just before 5 o clock this morning. 

Police have the described the incident as "reckless" and are appealing for information. 

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives investigating an incident at a house in Armagh during the early hours of today (Saturday 24th October) are appealing for witnesses and information. 

"Police received a report at approximately 4:50am that a petrol bomb had been thrown through the front living room window of a property in Callan Bridge Park. 

"Three people, a woman and two men, who were in the house at the time were uninjured." 

Detective Constable Cole added: "Thankfully, none of the occupants were injured, however, this reckless attack could have had serious consequences. 

"We are treating this attack as arson with intent to endanger life and I would appeal to anyone who has information about this attack to please get in touch with us. 

"You can contact our detectives on the non emergency number 101, and quote reference number 238 of 24/10/20."
