Families in the North West affected by the floods back in August of this year can apply for a small grant assistance fund for damages.
The Community Services section of Derry City and Strabane District Council have been working in close partnership with a number of community organisations to identify potential funding since the flash floods.
The Buttle Trust UK has advised they can offer limited small grant assistance to families with children under the age of 18 or young people under the age of 20 who live alone, have no contents insurance, and were affected by the recent floods.

A Council spokesperson is encouraging those eligible to contact their Community services for advice and assistance:

"We would appeal to anyone who fits these criteria to please contact your local community centre to avail of advice and the application form or the community services section of the Council.
