Sixth death on Donegal's roads in nine days

A man in his 30's has become the sixth person to die on Donegal's roads in just over a week.

The man - thought to be from Belfast - passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital in the early hours of this morning. 

He was travelling in a car with a woman in her late teens when they were involved in a collision with a lorry.

The collision happened at Tullyrap on the main Letterkenny to Lifford road shortly before 1pm yesterday afternoon.

The lorry driver was uninjured, however, the teenager remains in Letterkenny University Hospital. 

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 074-9167100, The Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
