Police are waiting for essential new laws to be introduced in Northern Ireland, because there's no executive in place. 

The former Justice Minister had proposed several pieces of Legislation before the collapse of a power sharing Government. 

They include proposals to crack down on domestic violence offenders - but haven't yet been given the green light.

Chief Constable George Hamilton wants parties to continue implementing the plans set out in the Fresh Start agreement.
