Pair released over murder of PSNI constable Ronan Kerr

Two men arrested over the murder of PSNI Constable Ronan Kerr have been released unconditionally.

Detectives from the Serious Crime Branch detained two men under the Terrorism Act on Tuesday.

A 27 year old man was arrested in Omagh and a 40 year old man was brought to police custody from prison.

Mr.Kerr was the second serving police officer to be killed since the Good Friday Agreement in 1998.

The 25 year old was targeted in a booby-trap car bomb in Omagh on 2 April 2011.
