Pat Martin from Newtownabbey has been honoured for her work at the Northern Ireland Road Safety Awards. 

Pat Martin from Newtownabbey was awarded a Lifetime Acheivement prize at the Northern Ireland Road Safety Awards. 

She launched one of the first ever 'Tufty' clubs in Northern Ireland.

For more than five decades she's been working to keep children safe.

Pat says the dangers of the road need to be highlighted at an early age.
